The Tomb Raider 1-3 remasters are receiving a significant update in 2024, addressing fan concerns. The director of product at Aspire, Chris Bashar, shared key details in a PlayStation blog article. They emphasize preserving the original feel with the option to toggle back to PS1 graphics. The gameplay remains faithful to the classics, with the inclusion of both tank and modern control options. Bosses now have health bars, offering better control in fights. A notable addition is the introduction of a photo mode for enhanced exploration. Aspire collaborated closely with Crystal Dynamics for improvements, including real-time lighting effects and character model updates. Over 200 trophies, including fan-requested ones, will be featured. The remasters release on February 14th.
